The design is where this monopod sets itself apart. Both the threadrod and the quick nut are made from nitride brass. Result: tighter tolerances, less slop, and an adjustment that still runs smooth after years of use. You set the height and it sits. No fumbling with a wheel that binds, no micro-movement that pulls your group apart.
The picatinny mount got four M3 grub screws. You will need them. Picatinny rails are not identical across manufacturers, tolerances vary, and those four screws let you square the monopod up dead straight to your barrel. Getting that alignment right is the difference between repeatable shooting and a rifle that wants to twist a different way every shot.
The foot is a detail most people overlook. Bears built small skids into the base, so the rifle slides over the ground under recoil instead of digging in. Less lateral shift, better view of impact, quicker follow-up.
