During an overhaul of the differential we replace all bearings, cups and seals. We clean the inside, blast and spray the outside and readjust the gears. There is a 2-year warranty on our revisions.
We need your differential to carry out the overhaul. The returned differential must still be driveable in order to be overhaulable. We can optionally equip these differentials with a LSD for better acceleration and more grip.
The C32 AMG sometimes has a problem with the differential. Due to excessive loads, the differential shaft generates play on the differential clock, causing it to rub against the gears and the differential can cause loud bangs or even completely seize up. Solving this problem can be done for around 400 euros (replacement for an open differential in good condition). Or it can be solved permanently with a limited slip differential.
