With the type RC 5 + brake pad, Carbone Lorraine has developed a brake pad made for street use whose friction gives a huge improvement over the normal standard brake pad. The friction coefficient of this pad is between the old RC 5 ( µ=40 ) and the RC 6 (µ= 0.5). In addition, these brake pads give virtually no dust The RC5+ brake pad is made of sintered material. This unique material is a very effective at both cold first touch as well as at temperatures of 1000 degrees Celsius. The compound of this brake pad also gives a firmer pedal pressure.
Note: Carbone Lorraine brake pads are primarily used in racing and rallying. For street use, there is a chance that one may need to use additional springs to be installed.
